The newest material presents us with the title character, already known from Rogue One Cassian Andor. The action takes place five years before the suicide mission to acquire the Death Star plans. The trailer also offers us a look at the other heroes of the series – mainly in dynamic, short fight scenes. The series will debut on Disney + on September 21, and in total we will see twelve episodes of the first season. Tony Gilroy, formerly responsible for Rogue One , is responsible for directing . Andor will explore the Star Wars galaxy from a new perspective, focusing on Cassian Andorra and his path to discovering how much it can make a difference. The series will tell the story of a growing rebellion against the Empire and how people and entire planets began to engage in the rebellion. These are times full of dangers, deceptions and intrigues where Cassian will have to follow the path of a rebel hero that is destined for him.
The characters from Rogue One will return to the action , incl. a seasoned veteran of the Clone Wars, Saw Gerrera, as well as one of the Alliance’s founders, Mon Mothma. For the first time, we will meet Cassian’s adoptive mother, Maarva, as well as the owner of the junkyard Bix Caleen and Luthen Rael, a galactic antiques dealer and a master spy.
Syril Karn, the imperial lady inspector who wants to get Cassian at any cost, and Dedra Meero, the ambitious and ruthless head of the Imperial Security Bureau, who also hunts our hero, will join the ranks of the series of villains.
