Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl was originally supposed to be released right now, in December . Unfortunately, in June, a postponement of the release date was announced . The Ukrainian studio GSC Game World is working on the sequel to the classic Zone trilogy. The delays are due to the ongoing war. In the first months of the conflict, the developers completely stopped the development of the title, but work has been resumed for some time. GSC Game World has confirmed that Stalker 2 will arrive in 2023, and has released a brand new trailer to keep up the hype among players.
In the press release, GSC reminds you that Stalker 2 will be available in the Xbox Game Pass subscription from the beginning. You can pre-order the game today via Steam and GOG. The developers took the opportunity to dedicate the new trailer to the fallen soldiers of the Ukrainian army and to thank the fans for their support over the past months .
We dedicate this trailer to our fallen heroes: those who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend Ukraine. We also want to take a moment to thank you for all the support we’ve received from our players and partners over the past months. Even simple words can work wonders when the situation is dire. Thank you very much for being with us in these difficult times.
It’s been more than 10 years since the release of Stalker: Call of Pripyat (the final part of the original trilogy), and fans can’t wait to see if Heart of Chernobyl proves to be a worthy sequel. Unfortunately, the latest news hasn’t given us an exact release date yet. However, 2023 is ahead of us, in which we should definitely know more details. Perhaps in a month or two.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl will be released on PC and Xbox Series X/S, most likely in 2023.
