The upcoming autumn, in addition to the shorter and shorter days, also announces new, suspenseful horror movies. Fans of lighter horror films will surely appreciate Spirit Halloween: The Movie , which will premiere on October 11, according to the latest information.
The first look at the production resembles an attempt to combine the atmosphere of Stranger Things and 5 Nights at Freddy’s . A group of 80s teenagers learns that a new store is opening in their town: Spirit Halloween. The heroes, who feel that they have already grown out of the traditional picking of sweets, decide to spend the night of ghosts in the abandoned mall where the store is located. They don’t know, however, that the place is possessed by an evil spirit that makes Halloween toys and costumes come to life.
We do not know yet what exactly the creators had in mind when creating this film. The announcement, however, suggests that it may be a pretty good production, perfect for a family Halloween evening. This may suggest, for example, the involvement of Christopher Lloyd in the film, taking part in nostalgic productions such as Back to the Future , or The Addams Family . Rachael Leigh Cook, Brad Carter and Marli Gibbs will also appear on the screen alongside him. It is also worth mentioning that while the movie is not based on facts, it was inspired by an actual chain of costume stores: Spirit Halloween.
