The production of a mobile game in the World of Warcraft universe was canceled after years of working on it. According to reports, the game was called Neptune in the files and was supposed to be a WoW spin-off in the MMORPG genre.

According to a report prepared by Bloomberg , the abandoned mobile game took three years to develop. Neptune was developed by Blizzard along with NetEase , which is known for many good games for portable devices: Knives Out, Harry Potter: Living Magic, Dead by Daylight Mobile, Marvel Super War. Reports indicate that the two companies simply did not get along, so the project had to be put on hold, thus canceling the work of over a hundred developers.

If you want to try your hand at Blizzard’s mobile games, you can play the free-to-play title, Diablo Immortal.
