On his Twitter account, James Gunn shared the information about the start of work on the series, which is to be a spin-off of the Suicide Legion . Peacemaker will premiere on the HBO Max platform, and the first season will count 8 episodes. Gunn will not only write but also direct several episodes, including the first one. According to the plan, production of the series is expected to start as early as 2021, before the director begins work on the new Guardians of the Galaxy . The series will be created in collaboration with the producer’s company from Troll Court Entertainment, The Safran Company and Warner Bros Television.
The role of the title Peacemaker will be played by none other than John Cena. He will be not only an actor, but also one of the producers. We will see him in this role in 2021, after the premiere of the second part of the Suicide Legion , the trailer of which you can see below:
