Sony’s next live-action movie in the Spider-Man universe just got a surprising update. On Monday, at Sony Pictures’ presentation at CinemaCon, the world got its first glimpse of the upcoming Kraven the Hunter movie . During the presentation, it was confirmed that he would receive an R rating! Previously, Venom and Venom 2: Carnage were rated PG-13.
We considered it 100%. You read comics and that’s extreme, but that’s not what we’re here for. We came here to make a video and correct me if I’m wrong, that is, there is a law and a rule to make a video accessible to many people, which is also intended for everyone, including hardcore fans. So I hope hardcore fans will at least take home what they look like in Carnage and say, “Yeah, I recognize Carnage from the comics. I’m happy with that.” And yes, no, we didn’t bite everyone’s head off, but we almost shoved our tongue down someone’s throat… and we managed to reach a rating level that is reputable, so grandma can come, but I can come and watch too.

What will Kraven the Hunter be about ?
In the film, Russian immigrant Sergei Kravinoff is on a mission to prove himself as the world’s greatest hunter. Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Sergei Kravinoff / Kraven, Arana Smerdyakov / Chameleon, DeBose as Calypso and Fred Heichinger as Dmitri will appear on the screen. Christopher Abbott, Alessandro Nivola, Russell Crowe and Levi Miller have been cast in currently unknown roles.
He is a hunter and comes from the hunting world and has many facets to it. What I love about this character is that he humanizes his flaws, right? Kraven is a beautiful character. Sergei Kravinov is a beautiful character because he is someone who truly understands himself and has flaws. He’s a character that was built centuries ago and is in a new time and era, but yes, will he be the hunter we all want to see? Yes, absolutely. Absolutely.
