Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse , the sequel to the well-received Spider-Man Universe has just been officially delayed. On Wednesday, Sony announced that the anticipated second part of Miles Morales’ adventures has been postponed from October 7 this year to June 2, 2023 . In addition, the creators have confirmed that the name of the film will be changed. The caption ” Part: One” has been removed , although the story of Across the Spider-Verse will be split into two parts anyway. The second chapter of this adventure is scheduled to hit theaters on March 28, 2024.
Current screenwriter Christopher Miller commented on the delay of the film’s release date:
The film is currently so ambitious that it tried to break the barrier of many amazing ideas in terms of graphics, storytelling and simply cinematic. All of this… The audio in the film is likely to be breathtaking, so it takes a lot of work. Each version of these films is a collaboration of hundreds of filmmakers who work together and come up with beautiful and creative ideas. It is the people, the directors and the producers who have to decide which ones to reject and which to choose.
In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse , Miles Morales, aka Spider-Man, will embark on a journey through the entire Multiverse possible. Our hero will be helped by Gwen Stacy along with a new team of spiders. This time they will fight another great and sinister opponent. The movie also features Spider-Man 2099, voiced by Oscar Isaac.
