The monster suddenly behaves differently, and scientists at Monarch, the government’s cryptozoology agency that studies the Titans, are trying to figure out why it has seemingly turned its back on humanity. Face it – great if Godzilla is on your side, but the moment it turns on you, you’re in really big trouble… ” explains the director of the film, Adam Wingard.

The monumental clash between these two titans, orchestrated by hidden forces, is only the beginning of a mystery whose solution lies deep in the Earth’s core.

Godzilla vs. Kong broke popularity records in theaters and achieved the best box office record on the first day of screening during the pandemic. During the first weekend after the premiere, the film was the most-watched title in the history of the HBO Max platform.

Godzilla and Kong are movie legends. Originally, you could see them as monsters from the East and the West – Godzilla storming Tokyo, Kong brought by man to New York. They are cinema icons that excite audiences of all ages around the world , says Wingard.

After World War II, Japan’s Toho Co., Ltd. gathered a group of Japanese legendary filmmakers to create a new kind of monster. Brought to life with the use of latex-bamboo jumpsuit and filmmakers’ unparalleled artistry, Godzilla entered the screen in Honda ‘s Godzilla Ishirō masterpiece , which ushered in a new genre of cinema. The monster has become one of the most powerful, influential and original creatures ever to appear on the screen. The popularity of Godzilla around the world has allowed Toho to create a whole universe of giant creatures in a series of films that gave rise to the kaiju eiga genre , fascinating and entertaining subsequent generations of fans.

King Kong, the title character of Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack’s 1933 painting, was created by special effects specialist Willis H. O’Brien and sculptor Marcel Delgado. It is the first-ever box office hit starring visuals and a major milestone in monster movies.
