Buffy: The Vampire Slayer first aired on March 10, 1997. The series was nominated for an Emmy and Golden Globe Awards for all seven seasons between 1997 and 2003. Chosen to fight demons, vampires, and other dark forces, Buffy was assisted by an Observer who guided her and taught her to surround herself with friends eventually dubbed the Scooby Gang.
