We are entering the Dutch Golden Age. During this period, all the local cultural goods, science, military and trade were among the most recognized in the world. And as we are talking about trading, we will stop at it for a longer time. Our goal will not be to build passenger train routes, but commercial trains. We will have to carry out contracts and acquire valuable goods. There is nothing to delay, get to work!
What’s inside and a few rules
This is a smaller version of the game than the original Board the Train: Europe , which makes the gameplay fast. 10-15 minutes and we are already counting up the points.
The preparation for the game itself does not take much time, especially when someone has already dealt with any other version of this board game. Then he just takes everything out of the box, sets it on the table, and starts.
Inside we find:
- a board showing the commercial network in Amsterdam,
- 64 plastic carts,
- 44 Locomotion cards
- 24 Contract cards
- 16 bonus Merchandise cards,
- 4 scoring markers
- instructions.
The goal of the game is to score as many points as possible, and this can be achieved by creating connections between two adjacent places on the board, completing the Contracts you have, and earning bonus Merchandise cards for connection strings marked with the appropriate symbols.
During his turn, a player has the option to perform one of the three available actions: draw a Locomotion card, create a connection, or draw a Contract card.

The game ends when one of the players has a maximum of two carts. Then everyone can play their last round and the points are scored. The person who obtained the most of them wins.
