At the beginning, let us remind you that in the photo that finally appeared in Batman v Superman and later in Wonder Woman, we see Diana with her companions after the liberation of the Belgian village. The whole event was set in the times of the First World War. During an interview on the ComicBook Debate on YouTube, Zack Snyder showed an earlier version of this photograph that was used on the set. You can see it below.
As you can see, the only common feature of both photos is the presence of Diana, while her companions are completely different. We have probably a compilation of warriors from all over the world. From samurai to representatives of tribes from Africa and North America. Wonder Woman herself also looks much more dangerous due to the severed and tied together heads held by her in her left hand. The picture was supposed to show the moment captured during the Crimean War, which took place in the 1850s. It was the first armed conflict in the history of the world, captured in the pictures.
Snyder’s concept that the heroine would leave her home during this period and appear among ordinary people ended up in the basket after hiring Patty Jenkins to film the adventures of the Amazon. As you know, the director of Batman v Superman planned everything for a few movies ahead, but always took into account the changes. He himself stated that there is no problem with how the heroes’ stories turned out.
As for Wonder Woman itself, the sequel to her adventures has already debuted in some countries. In Poland, we will have to wait until February for the cinema premiere. Later this year, the director’s version of the Justice League will be released, where Gal Gadot will also appear.
