The Egmont series , although published for several years, still attracts new readers. The eyes of potential recipients are attracted primarily by the colorful cover with the title characters. The discussed volume of Smurfs and Krakukas is another book about the adventures of little friends who have to face adversities. Frames of various sizes, pleasing to the eye, show the characters from many perspectives and allow the reader to get to know the Smurf universe better. The author of the scenarios for the first and second stories ( Smurfs and Krakukas and Smurf different than all ) is Peyo. The artist also prepared graphics for the second title, while the first one was enriched with graphics by Gos. Interestingly, reading the comic book, we do not feel discomfort due to the differences in the concepts of the illustrators, instead we follow the adventures of the Smurfs with a smile and constantly cheer them on.
With a smile for adventure
The stories told in the latest volume arouse the interest of the reader who – seduced by the Smurf universe – greedily browses the pages of the comic book (there are only 60 of them!). Fans of Peyo’s scenarios and ideas will surely like the new hero – Krakukas, but the adventures of Gargamel and his faithful cat Klakier should also interest them – after all, there are quite a few adventures of the antagonist in this volume. The original scenarios easily make the reader smile, although sometimes they also heighten the fear for the fate of little comic book friends (as you know, do not forget about the consequences of your actions …). Thanks to the unique illustrations, we can feel part of the fairy-tale world in question, and guess what? We may wish it really exists.
