Simu Liu on the future of Shang-Chi and some Twitter post

In the latest interview for The Hollywood Reporter, Simu Liu does not hide the fact that he was a huge fan of Marvel since he was a child. During the conversation, he shared a short Shang-Chi story that had started before becoming part of the cast.

I certainly remember the car turning on Hollywood Boulevard, then seeing thousands of fans, their calls, screams and posters at the top of the El Capitan Theater and TCL Chinese Theater. It was something I couldn’t even imagine in my deepest dreams. What’s next? I guess I’m thinking about the same thing as everyone else, which is the Avengers somewhere in the future. Of course, I don’t know anything about it, but as a big MCU fan, I know it’s a golden star.

He told Simu Liu when asked if he was prepared for the publicity and how he prepared for everything that had happened to him so far. Next, the host asked when we can expect the next movie with Shang-Chi.

I know absolutely nothing. I think we’re too focused on releasing Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings into the world and making sure people watch it. And when it hits theaters on September 3, where it is safe for humans [due to the pandemic], they will enter the auditorium and experience the stunning action and amazing story embodied in the film.

Simu Liu also told his short story about the famous Tweet that he shared in 2018 and after which he dreamed of playing the lead role in Shang-Chi . This is probably what he called the future creators of the new film to finally start producing seriously.

Okay Marvel, let’s finally talk about #ShangChi

After which, a year and a half later, he was invited to the cast of a new MCU movie. In addition, we learn that this is not the first time that Simu Liu plays the role of a superhero.

For a while, I entertained kids at birthday parties dressed up as Spider-Man.

Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings premieres on September 3.
