It seems that Konami and developer Bloober Team may be preparing to announce the release date of the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake . While Konami hasn’t yet given a specific date when the new version of the survival horror classic was first announced last year, it was confirmed to be available on PS5 and PC. Apart from a short trailer, not much information about the remake has surfaced. Fortunately for fans who are waiting for news, it seems that a major announcement may be coming soon.
Video game expert Dusk Golem recently noticed activity on Silent Hill 2’s Steam page , suggesting that Konami and Bloober Team may be posting a release date there soon. Previously, the Steam release tab was labeled ‘TBA’ [to be announced], but now it says ‘Coming soon’. While this change may seem inconspicuous, for fans it means that Konami is on the final stretch and has already taken care of updating the Steam page for the refreshed Silent Hill 2 .
Dusk Golem noted that “Coming Soon” on Steam is often used as a cover up for the actual release date, which Konami may not want to reveal at this time. Although it is not currently known when Silent Hill 2 will go on sale, all this activity suggests that we will soon find out the answers to the questions that bother us.
So far, absolutely nothing is known about the release date of Silent Hill 2 . Fans still hope that the remake will hit PlayStation 5 and PC later in 2023. If that happens, it will be another entry in a year that is already full of revamped survival horrors. Quite recently, remakes of Dead Space and Resident Evil 4 had their premieres .
