I chose the option with Japanese dubbing and Polish subtitles. I don’t really like this option and I could wait a while for the Polish version, but my curiosity won. I liked the fact that the inscriptions did not rush and the font did not tire the eyes, which is perfect for me. I could listen to the original voices and understand what they were saying.
Line
As a longtime fan of the Dragon Balls series, I have a great fondness for the lines from my youth. It had its magic and, in my opinion, it still does, but like everything else, Dragon Ball also moved forward, so it’s no wonder that the way the image is conveyed has changed. I think there is no need to stay in your youth and accept the facts … The adventures of Goku and the rest are not meant to encourage older viewers to watch, because they will come back anyway. Mainly they should be taken in by younger people and I think the goal has been achieved. It was nice to watch, I didn’t notice any big errors in the animation. It is possible that the Dragon Ball Super serieshe prepared me gradually for changes in the message, it is also possible that it is the magic of the big screen in the cinema. I don’t know, but I’m sure I didn’t curse the creators under my breath for making it. I especially liked the graphic inserts that recall the origins of Dragon Ball .
The characters are very nicely created in my opinion, especially Gohan’s daughter – Pan. And of course, a huge plus is that Goten and Trunks are finally not small, they were adapted to the teenage age.

Back to the past
The return of the Red Ribbon Army and Cell was not a big surprise to me. Watching anime, I wanted the creators to return not only to the most powerful antagonists, but to the earthly ones. Already watching the trailer, I was glad that there will be such a return, with additional elements.
Anyone who watched Dragon Ball during the broadcast on RTL 7 must remember the Red Ribbon Army, if not then you probably saw the anime once and time did its job. Although, is it possible to forget the spectacular duels of a child in Dragon Ball ?
It is worth recalling that during the saga watched on TV screens, no one knew that Goku did not come from Earth.
Idea
After another use of Freeza, as well as restoring Broly (in an amazing way), it is time for the Army, to which much of Goku’s initial adventures was devoted. If Dr. Gero just came back, it would be a stretch, and everyone knows that. Therefore, the theme of his grandson is perfectly matched.
It is possible that my own writing ideas are speaking through me, I finally came up with the idea of a brilliant descendant of Doctor Gero a few years ago. Perhaps, while watching the film, I became convinced that such a plot is simply good.
I am also glad that the creators did not focus only on Goku and Vegeta. Actually, on the plus side, it is all about Gohan, Piccolo and Pan. We could take a break from the main characters and get to know others.

Super heroes
The main theme is superheroes. Gamma 1 and 2 were supposed to be them, only manipulation caused them and their creator to attack our heroes. Here I missed some expansion, maybe some additional scenes when it comes to them, what is the truth.
I liked Gamma anyway, and the end of the fight with Cell was incredibly sad.
New forms
New forms appeared, not for Goku or Vegeta, but for Gohan and Piccolo. The Dragon theme was used in an interesting way, which brought power out of the Namekian, although our heroes could try harder. For Piccolo it was something like this: I need to be stronger, but why do I need more training?
And of course the dragon is called and everything is going smoothly, the power is brought out. Later, there are also Bulma’s absurd wishes that could definitely be ignored.
The form of Gohan made an impression on me, maybe not great, but it had something to it. It’s just a pity that our hero must see a loved one hurt to achieve something; if there were some substitutes for training behind it, and not sitting in front of a computer …
The only thing that bothers me is Cell, which was shown completely different than years ago; the creators did not use the possibilities of such an important antagonist from the world of dragon balls.
Summary
Dragon Ball Super: Superhero is a pleasant surprise for me. I was skeptical, and I left the cinema definitely satisfied. There are some things that could be developed, and some that shouldn’t come up at all. The film is a nice springboard, but if someone wants to feel the same emotions while watching Dragon Ball a few years ago, they will not find them in the film at a satisfactory level.
