Less than a month has passed since the Blue Hedgehog’s impersonator revealed that the production of the sequel to “Sonic. Lightning Fast” would soon begin. Today, the director of the picture revealed the start of shooting.
Jeff Fowler posted a photo of the director’s chair with the film’s logo on social media. He added a description to it with the information that the pictures for the painting are starting today. You can see the Twitter entry below.
The plot of the second Sonic movie remains a mystery for now, although we have some clues as to what to expect. The most important of them were in the post-credits scene of the first production and in the sequel’s logo. It is, of course, about the appearance of Miles “Tails” Prower, the character who is the best friend of the main character in Sega’s games.
In an interview with ComicBook.com, Jeff Fowler revealed the secret behind the success of the first picture, which allowed the brand to continue to grow in film form. It was meant, of course, to portray the rivalry between Sonic and his archenemy, Dr. Robotnik. Showing in an interesting way how it all started gave a good opening for continuation.
The premiere of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is scheduled for April 2022.
