Netflix and Tomorrow Studios have stopped filming of the series “Cowboy Bebop” due to the accident of actor John Cho playing the main character of the series Spike Spiegel.

Actor John Cho, who plays the main character of the new Netflix series Cowboy Bebop, by Spike Spiegel, had an accident, as a result of which he suffered a serious knee injury requiring surgery and intensive rehabilitation. He was transported to the Los Angels Hospital.

Production of the series was suspended for 7-9 months. Presumably, this is what it will take for the actor to fully recover.

Cowboy Bebop by Netflix and Tomorrow Studios is a fictional reboot of the 1998-1999 anime series of the same title. There are plans for 10 episodes of the first season. Alex Garcia Lopez ( Daredevil , The Punisher ) will direct the first two of them. The script for the first episode will be written by Christopher Yost ( Thor: Ragnarok , Thor: The Dark World , X-Men: Evolution ).

In addition to John Cho playing Spike Spiegel, the cast will also include Alex Hassell as Vicious, Daniella Pineda as Faye Valentine, Elena Satine as Julia, Mustafa Shakir as Jet Black, Rodney Cook as Teddy Bomber and Cali Nelle as Thief.
