“Shazam! Wrath of the Gods”, “John Wick 4” and other news in Cinema City!

On March 17, the great winner of this year’s Oscars returns to Cinema City cinemas, the film Everything Everywhere at Once, awarded with as many as 7 statuettes . It will be presented for 3 days, until March 19. The IMAX, 4DX and Screen theaters will also be packed in the coming week with the release of Shazam! Wrath of the Gods and fans of Keanu Reeves will see the fourth part of the John Wick series on March 21 in IMAX and 4DX . Among the film news, we will also see the science-fiction show 65, the Polish thriller Wyrwa and the drama with Hugh Jackman Syn .

 

Cinema City will be the first in Poland to show the latest part of the John Wick series . Already on March 21, in IMAX and 4DX formats, viewers will be able to admire Keanu Reeves in one of his most famous incarnations. A day later, pre-premiere 2D screenings will begin in all other cinemas of the network. On the day of the premiere, i.e. March 24, the John Wick Marathon will also be shown.

Shazam! Wrath of the Gods continues the story of teenager Billy Batson, who changes into his adult alter ego, Shazam, after saying the magic word. The spectacle of the superhero cinema genre in an unusual setting, with an excellent cast (Helen Mirren will also perform in this part). Cinema City will be showing in all possible formats – IMAX, 4DX and ScreenX.

65 – After crashing on an unknown planet, pilot Mills (Adam Driver) discovers that planet is Earth, only 65 million years ago. He has to make his way through unfamiliar terrain full of dangerous prehistoric creatures in the fight for survival.

Son is a drama about a family struggling to reunite after a breakup. Peter (Hugh Jackman) lives with his new partner Beth (Vanessa Kirby) and their young son. His life is stabilized and comfortable. However, that changes when his ex-wife Kate (Laura Dern) shows up with their first son, Nicholas (McGrath), now in his teens. It turns out that Nicholas has been absent from school for months, he is restless, distant and angry. Peter tries to take care of Nicholas the way he would like his own father (Anthony Hopkins) to take care of him. At the same time, he has to maneuver at work, where the offer of his dream position in Washington appears. Peter, reaching back to the past to fix his mistakes, loses sight of what matters most.

Wyrwa – an intriguing thriller with an excellent cast: Tomasz Kot, Karolina Gruszka and Grzegorz Damięcki is a screen adaptation of Wojciech Chmielarz’s crime novel. The film was directed by Bartosz Konopka, the creator of the series “In the depths of the forest” and “Skazana”, nominated for an Oscar. Infidelity, a mysterious accident and a man who undertakes an investigation on his own to discover the truth behind the mysterious death of his wife.

The school of magical animals– an adventurous story about Ida and Benni, based on the best-selling series of books by Margit Auer. The characters are outsiders, she is the new student, he is the class recluse. One day at school, the teacher announces the arrival of an extraordinary man. They are to be visited by Mortimer Morrison, who travels the world in search of magical animals that can talk to a human if they consider him a friend. A magical animal will never leave its friend in need. It is the most faithful companion imaginable. In class, Ida and Benni are the first to have magical friends. And suddenly it turns out that everyone wants to be friends with them. Meanwhile, things start disappearing at school. Kids and magical animals must stick together to solve the mystery of the school thief.
