Production on the TV series version of Ted has come to an end. We don’t know the release date yet, but the series will break quite a long period of emptiness since the 2015 sequel. Author Seth MacFarlane recently boasted on Instagram that work on the title for the American platform Peacock has ended. In the attached photo, the title teddy bear is visible, while in the description, MacFarlane thanked the cast and crew, and summed it all up in one sentence:
Get ready, the bear is back.
Announced a few years ago, the Ted series will be a prequel to the original film of the same name from 2012 (it was the directorial debut of Seth MacFarlane, previously known for the animation Family Guy ). The action is to take place in the 90s and will show the path that the teddy bear had to travel with the Bennett family before we met him in the film. Official summary below.
It’s 1933 and Ted the Bear’s moment of fame has passed, leaving him with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett, who lives in Boston with his parents and cousin. Ted may not be the best influence on John, but when it comes down to it, Ted is willing to risk it to help a friend and family.
