SDCC 2019: Previews of new animations with DC heroes

During the premiere panel for Batman: Hush, three more animations were also announced, which will be released next year.

The announced productions will include two films with Superman and the sequel to Justice League Dark . The last of the mentioned films will be subtitled Apokolips War and although it has not been confirmed yet, most likely the action will be related to New Gods from the planets Apokalips and New Genesis. So far, it is also not known which characters will appear in the film. In the first part, we had the opportunity to see, among others John Constantine, Zatanna or Deadman. The original Justice League Dark was an adaptation of the comic book series of the same title and one of the few productions with the “R” category. Constantine spoke in that film with the voice of Matt Ryan, who portrayed the role in person on the paranormal solo series and inLegends of Tomorrow.

The first of the Superman films to be released next year will be the screening of the Red Son mini-series . Released in 2003, the story of the Elseworlds series was one of many that showed what would happen if the capsule with the little Kal-El had not landed in Kansas and near Smallville. In this case, Kal crashes in the Soviet Union, in what is now Ukraine. As soon as his abilities are discovered, the communist authorities immediately use him for their own ends.

The second film about the man of steel will be called Superman: Man of Tomorrow . It is supposed to be an original story that does not refer directly to any comic book. The plot will focus on Superman’s early years. This animation will be released next year as the last one.
