At Comic Con, HBO presented a new trailer for the series adaptation of Philip Pullman’s fantasy trilogy.
Dark Materials from HBO and the BBC will present the same world that fans of Philip Pullman’s work know. It is an alternative vision of reality in which people live together with their daimons – the physical representations of each person’s soul. In addition, there will also be items such as powerful armored bears and long travel. You can watch the trailer below.
This is the second approach to adapting Pullman’s prose. Previously, attempts were made to make a series of films based on his books, but ended up with only one, the Golden Compass . Due to legal turmoil, subsequent productions were never created.
The series Dark Materie is set to debut later this year.
