During the Terminator: Dark Destiny panel, James Cameron revealed that another cast member of the second film in the series will also appear in its latest installment.

Although he could not appear in person, the presence of James Cameron was still felt on Thursday at Comic Con. The producer of the new Terminator talked a bit about the preparations for the film on the recording broadcast during the discussion panel.

When Cameron regained control of the brand, he knew that certain cast members could not be replaced. That’s why he tried to get Linda Hamilton to reappear as Sarah Connor. At the end of this part of his speech, the creator also mentioned the return of Edward Furlong in Dark Destiny . This means that after nearly thirty years, the actor will again play the role of the savior of humanity.

Furlong played John Connor for the first time in Terminator 2: Judgment Day . In that production, the future commander of the resistance movement was still a rebellious boy. One of the most memorable scenes with the then young actor were those teaching the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger), who was protecting him, about human behavior and sayings like the cult “Hasta la vista, Baby”.

After Furlong as John Connor, we also saw Nick Stahl ( Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines ), Christian Bale ( Terminator: Salvation ), Jason Clarke ( Terminator: Genisys ) and Thomas Dekker ( Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles ). The other actors of this role, unfortunately, do not have much to boast about, because the parts of the series in which they appeared did not meet the expectations of the fans.
