The cast of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off includes the entire cast of the original Scott Pilgrim vs. the World . The actors return to lend their voices to the characters in the anime series. They include e.g. Michael Cera as Scott, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona, Kieran Culkin as Wallace Wells, Anna Kendrick as Stacey Pilgrim, Brie Larson as Envy Adams, Alison Pill as Kim Pine, Aubrey Plaza as Julie Powers, Johnny Simmons as Young Neil, Mark Webber as Stephen Stills, Ellen Wong as Knives Chau, and Satya Bhabha, Chris Evans, Brandon Routh, Jason Schwartzman and Mae Whitman as Ramona’s Evil Ex-Partners.

They’ve all gone on and achieved amazing things, but they’re like family to me

O’Malley said of the actors in a press statement that announced the series earlier this year.

Fortunately, the Scott Pilgrim cast became close as family, and friendships were made for life. To this day, there is a group email with the entire team, which has been going on since 2010. I was happy to share with everyone the news that we finally found a way to continue our adventure. It was a real pleasure to see (and hear) everyone return to their roles

Wright said in an interview with the Netflix Tudum blog.

Coincidence or destiny?

Over the years, fans have been asking if there will be a sequel to the film or some other variation. I knew a live-action sequel was unlikely, but I usually suggested that an anime adaptation could be an interesting idea. And then, here’s a surprise, Netflix got in touch to ask about this exact idea. And what’s more, our genius creator Bryan Lee O’Malley had an idea for a lot more adventurous than just a simple adaptation of the original books

Wright concluded.

All in all, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off promises to capture the essence of beloved graphic novels while introducing creative new elements, making it an exciting sequel to the Scott Pilgrim universe.
