San Diego Comic Con canceled

Unfortunately, it came to what everyone wanted to avoid. The organizers of one of the largest pop culture conventions in the world were forced to cancel this year’s event. The reason, as with many other events of this type, is the threat caused by the coronavirus.

The decision to cancel San Diego Comic Con was postponed as long as possible. Unfortunately, further opinions from health experts indicate that the peak of the US pandemic is yet to come. Faced with these reports, the organizers had no choice but to cancel this year’s convention. It is the first such case in Comic Con’s 50-year history.

The statement stated that this decision was difficult to make. However, taking into account the safety of exhibitors, visitors and other participants, it was considered too dangerous to postpone the event to another date this year. The organizers also ensured the return of the event in July 2021.

San Diego Comic Con has long been a favorite event for producers of gadgets and hegemons of the film industry. This is where such giants as Disney, Universal or Warner Bros. present new materials from their upcoming productions. Last year, the highlight of the program was the Marvel Studios show in Hall H, which summed up the Infinity Saga and revealed plans for the coming years.
