In 2014, the “Crystal” series began. Sailor Moon Eternal will be the continuation of this series. The sorceresses’ opponents will be the Circus of the Dead Moon and the sinister Nehelenia. Classic anime fans will probably know this story from season 4 of the series: “SuperS”.
Now the same story in a refreshed version will hit the screens as a two-part feature film. The Japanese premiere of the first part is scheduled for September 11, 2020. At the moment, it is not known when the world premiere will take place, but fans are already speculating that it will take place in early 2021.
At first glance, you can see that “Sailor Moon Eternal” will be a completely different version than the one we know from the 90s. The characters are similar to those that Naoko Takeuchi drew in her comic book.
The manga “Sailor Moon” was released in 1992-1997 and has 18 volumes. The anime was broadcast in parallel with the comics. “Sailor Moon” first came to Poland in 1995 (on Polsat’s air).
Meanwhile, the JPF Fanstastica publishing house, which bought the right to publish manga in Poland many years ago, is trying to reissue “Sorceresses” in a new, refreshed version. On the official Facebook page, they posted the text: “We’re still eager to release and are looking forward to it, just like you! Everything is prolonged by unusual materials on which the comic is printed, therefore the Japanese publisher requires different methods of material approval than usual. All accepted material will have to be printed and shipped to Japan. This method is also required for “Akira”, so there is a dependency – if the release of “Akira” with approvals goes well, we will get the green light for the release of new “Charmed Ones”.
