Universal has released a new poster for the movie Dolittle , in which we can see Robert Downey Jr. as the title character surrounded by a group of various animals (giraffes, list, polar bear, parrot, gorilla, ostrich, geese, dog). The title from The voyage of Doctor Dolittle was also shortened to Dolittle itself .
Stephen Gaghan’s new movie will be Dr Dolittle ‘s 1998 reboot from 20th Century Fox. It will be produced by Team Downey, owned by Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan.
Seven years after the loss of his wife, the famous doctor and veterinarian, Doctor Dolittle, hid behind the high walls of his estate with his exotic pets. When she learns about the illness of the young queen of England, she sets off on an expedition to find a suitable medicine.
He is accompanied by the gorilla Chee-Chee (Rami Malek), the goose Dab-Dab (Octavia Spencer), the ostrich Plimpton (Kumail Nanjiani), the polar bear Yoshi (John Cena), the parrot Polynesia (Emma Thompson). The film also features Tom Holland as a dog named Jip, Selena Gomez as Betsy the giraffe, Graig Robinson as the Fleming mouse, Carmen Ejogo as Regine the lioness, Ralph Fiennes as Barry the tiger, Marion Cotillard as Tutu the fox, and Frances de la Tour as Ginko-Who- Soars. In one of the human roles we will see Antonio Banderas.
