In an interview with The Playlist, the director of the three episodes of Hawkeye (the first two and the last) said he really wanted Paul Rudd to be cast. Rhys Thomas explained that he loved the energy of the Ant-Man actor and Jeremy Renner on the tour promoting the final part of the Avengers . In his opinion, a hero with as much comedy potential as Scott Lang would fit well in the latest adventures of Clint Barton. Unfortunately, Marvel Studios decided to save the hero for the time being.
Thomas also suggested that viewers will see the debut of some new and previously unannounced character. Until now, you could see, among others Kate Bishop and Echo, but according to his statement, someone whose name he could not reveal will appear. For some time, rumors have been circulating on the web that Vincent D’Onofrio would return to the role of Kingpin in the Hawkeye series . These reports have not yet been confirmed.
D’Onofrio first played Wilson Fisk in the Netflix production of Daredevil . He was one of the most dangerous opponents of the main character, played by Charlie Cox. There have also been rumors of this actor returning to the role of Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Road Home.
