The project will be an acting series. Andrew Dabb ( Supernatural ) was selected as his showrunner , and the director and producer of the first two episodes of Bronwen Hughes ( The Walking Dead ). The production will consist of eight episodes each one hour long. The announcement was accompanied by a Twitter entry with a photo of the script for the first episode.
We also know the outline of the plot of the painting. The action is to be split between two timelines. In the first, we will meet the teenage sisters Jade and Billie Wesker right after they moved to New Raccoon City. With time, the girls discover that both the city and their father hide dark secrets. The second timeline is over ten years later. The world has been overrun by creatures infected with the T-virus, and humanity is dying out. Now thirty, Jade struggles to survive in the new world. At the same time, she is haunted by her past and secrets about her sister and father.
The series is executive produced by Robert Kulzer and Oliver Berben of Constantin Film, along with Mary Leah Sutton. The president of Constantin Film, Martin Moszkowicz, will also act as producer. Netflix’s Resident Evil has no release date yet.
