Netflix clearly has high hopes for Capcom’s zombie horror series. The streaming service announced an acting series set in this world some time ago. Now we know that it will not be the only production based on this license.
Although no more specific information is available yet, the published material reveals who the plot will focus on. As in the case of Resident Evil 2, the main characters will be Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy. You can watch the trailer below.
Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is the first computer-animated production set in this universe in three years. In an official statement, Netflix said it intends to go a step further and apply a new technology to this series – 3DCG. The premiere is scheduled for next year. It also marks the 25th anniversary of the first game in the series.
The series is to be supervised by TMS Entertainment led by Hiroyuki Kobayashi (Capcom). The creation of 3DCG animations will be supervised by Kei Miyamoto in the Quebico studio. Netflix promises that the world presented in this adaptation is to be different from anything we have seen so far in the entire Resident Evil brand .
