The premiere of the long-awaited remake of the iconic  Resident Four is getting closer and closer. The information posted on the IMBD website indicates that, unlike the original, a known antagonist will appear in the refreshed four.

Without a doubt, one of the most anticipated games in 2023 is the Resident Evil 4 remake . After all, the original from 2005 is considered by many players to be one of the best titles of all time. The heroes of the four are now iconic and fan-favorite characters, including the duo of protagonists, namely Leon S. Kennedy and Ada Wong. The antagonist known in the series, Albert Wesker, did not appear in the original, but it looks like he will play a role in the new version. According to the IMBD Resident Evil 4 website, Wesker will be voiced by Connor Fogarty, the same actor who voiced  Dead by Daylight.

Cast lists on IMDB have contained errors in the past, so this news should be treated with caution, at least until the actor himself and/or Capcom confirms these reports. While Wesker was absent from the original  Resident Evil 4 , his character appeared in the Mercenaries mode as well as the bonus game Separate Ways. In the latter, it turned out that Ada Wong works for Wesker, so it’s possible that the remake will explore their stories even more and that the content of Separate Ways will be woven into the remake.

Albert Wesker has been one of the main characters of  Resident Evil since the very beginning of the series. In the original  Resident, Wesker is introduced as a member of the STARS special police unit. The team is sent to investigate the disappearance of their teammates in Raccoon City. Eventually, it turns out (spoiler alert!) that Wesker works for the Umbrella Corporation. The character subsequently appeared in subsequent  Resident Evil games . There’s no denying that Albert Wesker is the series’ key villain, which makes it all the more interesting to see if he plays a bigger role in the remake’s plot.

The premiere of the refreshed  Resident Evil 4 is scheduled for March 24, 2023. The game will be released on PC and on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S.
