Reina Hardesty is already the third person to leave the cast of the planned The Boys spin-off. Before her, Aimee Carrero and Shane Paul McGhie had left the project. The action of the series, which already has big problems at the pre-production stage, is to take place in the universe known from The Boys , and more specifically at a university intended only for superheroes.

There is no news yet on when The Boys spin-off will be released. Nevertheless, at such an early stage, the production ran into serious problems, as three actors had already given up on it.

Not much is known about the spin-off plot yet, but The Boys creator Eric Kripke mentioned earlier in an interview with TheWrap about some important points for the planned series:

I’d say it’s loose inspiration from one comic book element: G-Men. Part of the G-Men is in its own way an educational experience at the university. We used this as a starting point, much like we did with The Boys, where from the starting point in the source material we went in our own strange direction. We just chatted and got the idea, got excited, so we introduced it to Amazon.

Fans of The Boys , however, have nothing to worry about as the new season of the series is coming, which will be available on June 3. In season three we will see stars such as Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and also Jensen Ackles.
