Originally, the fans were supposed to play the production from the Tom Clancy’s series in two months, on September 16. However, as with many other games affected by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Rainbow Six Extraction was delayed and Ubisoft decided it needed more time to fine-tune it.
On the official Ubisoft website, we can find a special statement from the team responsible for the title. We read in it:
Our goal at Rainbow Six Extraction is to deliver a fully fledged AAA experience that changes the way you play and think about cooperative gaming. With unique features such as Missing In Action or The Sprawl, each mission will be filled with tension and challenges as you lead Rainbow Six’s elite operators against the deadly evolving alien threat.
At the same time, the developers expressed their satisfaction with the additional time that was provided to them. They convince gamers that the new installment of the Tom Clancy’s series will be an immersive, exciting and collaborative experience.
At the moment, there is no specific date in January when the production will see the light of day. However, this is not the first Ubisoft game to be released by the publisher next year. Far Cry 6, arguably the biggest title of the year since its creator, was originally due out a few months ago. Instead, it is well on its way to release in October, assuming history won’t repeat itself and not be postponed. Especially since the pandemic has led to the delays of many games in the last twelve months or more.
When Rainbow Six Extraction comes out in 2022, it will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.
