The comic was created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee and published by Marvel Comics from 1963 to 1981. Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos follows Nick Fury, played in the MCU by frequent Tarantino collaborator Samuel L. Jackson, and his elite squad of Howling Commandos as they battle the Nazis in the trenches and prove to be a force to be reckoned with. The appearance of Nick Fury for the first time made Tarantino certainly want to make a war movie and tell the story of how the character becomes a heroic hero.

Speaking to MTV during the premiere of the 2009 film Inglourious Basterds , he admitted that the classic comic book was a major influence in the production’s development. Tarantino has been involved with comic book adaptations in the past, largely very early in his career. Among them were the likes of Luke Cage , Silver Surfer and others.
However, the director has said in the past that he would never be tempted to make a movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

So if the studio wanted to see Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos run by Tarantino, it would probably have to be separate from the rest of the franchise.
Tarantino previously made headlines for stating that his next feature film, the tenth of his directorial career, would be his last before retiring. With that in mind, it probably won’t be a Marvel movie.
