The hero of the favorite series of children’s books from the Pucio series will return in a new version. This time, this nice boy will become the main character of the animated series for the first time! The EGoFILM animation studio, whose mission is to create smart and attractive children’s productions, will be responsible for the production. Conceptual work on the series is currently underway, and the studio has applied for a grant to the Polish Film Institute.
Pucio in a new version
The book Pucio is a nice toddler who takes his first steps in learning speech. His adventures won the hearts of many children and their parents. Fans of Pucio will soon be able to follow his fate on the screen, because at the turn of 2025 and 2026, Pucio will present himself as the hero of an animated series, produced by the EGoFILM animation studio . The series will consist of 52 episodes, the plot of which will be based on books by Dr. n. Hum. Marta Galewska-Kustry and Joanna Kłos. The pilot episode of the series will probably appear in 2023! The series is to continue the mission of the best-selling books for children. Each 5-minute episode will carry content supporting the development of the young viewer.
When preparing the literary materials for the series, the most important thing for me was to preserve the spirit of the series, warmth, sensitivity and simplicity that is contained in the books about Pucie. I attached particular importance to the topics undertaken , the unhurried pace of action and the way of presenting the world itself as a safe place, where the encountered problems are a positive challenge for joint activities with family and friends. I am waiting with great joy and impatience to see how the world of Pucio and himself come alive on the screen. As a four-year-old mother, I am also an active recipient of all materials for children, including series for children. I dream that the series about Pucie would be one of those whowhich allow me to experience the adventures of the hero with a smile and peace with my child – says Marta Galewska-Kustra, author of the series about Pucie
Responsible for transferring Pucia’s adventures to the world of animation will be: Martyna Wojcieszek, Rafał Skarżycki and Maciej Kur as scriptwriters, Ewelina Gordziejuk as a producer, as well as Marta Galewska-Kustra herself. Conceptual work on the production is currently underway. The studio has already applied for a subsidy to the Polish Film Institute and is constantly looking for private investors ready to help with the implementation of the project.
Entertainment for children, support for parents
The new version will be a very engaging series, attracting attention and requiring intellectual activity from the child. In addition to the sloppy morals woven into the plot of all 52 episodes of the series, each scenario will feature a riddle that, with the help of their favorite hero, children will be able to solve on their own. Additionally, each episode will concern a completely different sphere of life, thanks to which the young viewer will get to know and get used to different spaces.
A very important element of the world presented in the series is also the visual layer of the painting. Based on well-known drawings by Joanna Kłos, the creators of the EGoFILM series will transfer the aesthetics of the books to the screen.
Visually, the series ” Pucio” will be kept in subdued colors. We focus on aesthetic and simple, but not trivial illustrations that perfectly reflect the essence of ” Pucio”. The fairy tale is supposed to be a safe space, not glaring the viewer with the loudness of colors and shape , but instead helping him to concentrate on the stories presented in it and the fate of his favorite characters . As a young mother, I am well aware of the fact that despite the huge selection of animated titles for the youngest, only a few of them can be trusted by a parent. I believe that ” Pucio” will be just such a fairy tale. – says Ewelina Gordziejuk, owner of EGoFILM and producer of the animated “Pucia”
The artistic layer of the series will also be enriched by specially composed music. Calm, positive, melodic, but at the same time eye-catching soundtrack will harmonize well with the other elements of the world presented in the series.

The success of the book series about Pucie
The series of books about Pucie was created by Marta Galewska-Kustra – a pedagogue and speech therapist, an academic lecturer specializing in the issues of children’s development. Her books tell about a three-year-old boy Pucie, who is extremely curious about the world. He lives in the city with his mum, dad, older sister Misia and brother Bobo. He loves airplanes, his family and fun. The world of Pucio is full of adventures and interesting characters. He presents situations important to the youngest – he learns to experience emotions or use the potty.
The books are complemented by characteristic illustrations by Joanna Kłos, which give them an aesthetic value. The series of booklets very quickly became a hit for the youngest. As of today, the combined sales of all Pucia products (books, toys and games) are almost 3.5 million copies. The series was sold to the following countries: Slovakia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Italy, Germany, Croatia.
