Sony revealed a pad for the console generation yesterday. DualSense, apart from its futuristic design, can boast of interesting functions.
Yesterday, through the official PlayStation blog, we learned the first details about the PS5 dedicated controller. DualSense, as the new pad is called, is an extension of the DualShock 4 concept, but with significant changes.
The first thing that catches your eye is the new color palette. The mix of black and white caused quite a stir on the Internet and many players do not like this project. However, knowing the history of the current generation, we can expect numerous color versions of the new pad. Interestingly, the shape of the controller has been significantly modified. The shape now clearly resembles an accessory for Xbox One. Contrary to the competition, however, an asymmetric arrangement of analog knobs was not chosen. In this regard, everything stays the old way. Lighting is now in a different point, giving the device a minimalist look.
The “Share” button has been renamed to “Create”. More complex software functions are to be associated with it, allowing, inter alia, to create better recordings with gameplay. The advantage in communication is the microphone built into the pad. In principle, it will allow players to seamlessly join network games, without the need to invest in an additional headset. The new controller will be charged via the usb-c port. According to the assurances, it will have a long battery life. The entry also repeats the previous declarations about the triggers that allow you to adjust the force needed to fully press it, as well as extensive vibrations, providing, for example, different sensations depending on the surface on which the car is moving.
According to the information available so far, the PS5 is expected to go on sale at the end of this year.
