Profit from Mass Effect: Legendary Edition beyond EA’s expectations

BioWare and Electronics Arts announced that sales of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition are going exceptionally well and exceeded the expectations of the developers. It might seem that after the weak Andromeda, fans will not rush to the stores for the remastered trilogy. The reality turned out to be different, however, and the game breaks records of popularity.

The information was provided during a meeting with investors, and it was announced that due to the financial success, the Mass Effect series will be developed in the future. Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, commented on it this way:

The premiere of the game rekindled the passion of fans of the series around the world, significantly fueling sales results. We are very positively surprised and at the same time very pleased.

Information about a good financial result will certainly please all players who have high hopes for the future of the brand and new games from the universe. Such a great popularity of the refreshed trilogy will surely make the creators understand that fans are still waiting for new productions, even after the huge wave of criticism that met the previous installment of the series – Mass Effect: Andromeda .

So far it is known that BioWare is working on another title from the franchise, but not much is known about it. Based on the trailer shown at The Game Awards 2020, it can be concluded that the plot of the game will to some extent connect with the original trilogy. We will have to wait a little longer for more information, as BioWare is currently focusing on the production and announcements of Dragon Age 4 .
