The CW has announced that Donald Faison will play the role of Professor Atomus. According to the casting information, he will be presented as an eccentric, cheerful and slightly narcissistic genius who is proud of the amazing girls he has created. The midlife scientist undergoing a crisis aims to repair his relationship with his now adult daughters.
A new title for the pilot episode has also been given. Now in the English version it will be called Powerpuff (this is a shortened version of the original title The Powerpuff girls ). Changing the title makes sense, taking into account that the main characters are no longer little girls.
Earlier, it was announced who will play the roles of Bójki, Bajki and Brawurka. These will be Chloe Bennet ( Agents of SHIELD ), Dove Cameron ( Successors ) and Yana Perrault. Heather Regnier and Diablo Cody will write the script for the pilot episode. Maggie Kiley will be directing. The premiere date of the series is not known yet.
