Prime Video returns to The Rig . More shocks and emotions await us in the second part. See also what other movies and series the creators renewed.
Prime Video returns to The Rig . On Wednesday, the makers announced that they had renewed the supernatural thriller. This offered Martini Compston, Iain Glen and Emily Hampshire at least one more encounter with their oil worker characters. Set on the Kishorn Bravo oil rig somewhere off the Scottish coast, the series follows the workers stationed on the rig. They try to live in a mysterious fog that cuts off their communication with the outside world. All six episodes of the show’s first season were released on January 6 to generally positive reviews from critics.
As for the second part of the series, The Rig will follow the characters after they leave the platform and encounter more supernatural threats elsewhere. Filming for the second season is expected to begin later this year in and around Edinburgh, Scotland.
For the second series, I look forward to expanding the world of our show through the eyes of our excellent cast as we deliver more shock and excitement and delve deeper into both our character and the expanding original mythology of our show.
