Toho Animation has released a preview of the upcoming season 5 of the Boku no Hero Academia anime.
The video reveals to the viewers the theme song “No.1” performed by the band DISH . The description of the film also shows that The Peggies will perform the final song “Ashiato” (Footprints).
Kenji Nagasaki from BONES studio, working with Masahiro Mukai, is again directing . The script was written by Yousuke Kuroda. In addition, Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima took part in the development of the 5th season of the anime, who developed the character designs. The music for the anime was re-prepared by Yuki Hayashi.
The anime will premiere on March 27th and will be broadcast at 5:30 PM on YTV and NTV. Then, cyclical broadcasts every Saturday are planned. The new season will feature the theme of Joint Training from the original manga, where Class 1A will face Class 1B.
The first 13-episode anime season premiered in April 2016. The second 25-episode season premiered in April 2017, the third premiered in April 2018 and had 25 episodes. Season four premiered in Japan in October 2019 and had 25 episodes.
My Hero Academia’s first cinematic film: Two Heroes premiered in Japan in July 2018. The second film, My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising ( Boku no Hero Academia the Movie -Heroes: Rising ) premiered in Japan in December 2019. The third cinema film will premiere in the summer of 2021. The original manga creator, Kōhei Horikoshi , will once again serve as the film’s chief overseer.
