The upcoming third installment of the series “The Conjuring”may turn out to be one of a kind. The new director of the film decided to make a bold move and gave up the appearance of characters that bonded previous productions with the universe.
The previous installments of the series about the marriage of paranormal researchers and other films from the universe (Annabelle, Nun, etc.) were related not only by the main characters, but also by the same demons and evil spirits. In earlier productions, viewers could see the cursed doll Annabelle, the demon Valak or Bathsheba Sherman. This time they will be missing.
It may seem confusing to opt out of their appearance in The Conjuring 3 , so the film’s director explained the reasons for doing so:
The Warrens are dealing with something they’ve never dealt with before, so part of it is there. In this case, it just didn’t feel right. “
And what can viewers expect during the screening of the latest part of the series? This time, history will take them to the United States of the early 1980s. The Warren couple will be tasked with fighting for the soul of a young boy, but will soon be faced with something completely new and very dangerous. Investigators will also be involved in an unprecedented trial in which the suspect will defend himself against prosecution, claiming he has been possessed.
But The Conjuring 3 will be unique not only in terms of who is missing. You should not expect a happy ending from the film, as evidenced by the director’s next statement:
Up to this point, there had really been no real victim in any of the previous movies in the series.
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reappear in the film as Ed and Lorraine Warren. Sarah Catherine Hook, Ruairi O’Connor and Julian Hilliard will also appear in the production. However, there was a change of director and now his function is performed by the already quoted Michael Chaves. James Wan was involved in the production of the two previous parts of the film, while Chaves directed Topielisko: The Curse of La Llorona – another title from the universe.
The Conjuring 3 will have its world premiere on June 4 this year, and in Poland a week later, on June 11.
