As every year, we invite you to the Poznań Festival of Comic Art – this time on April 20-23. During the event, there will be numerous lectures and speeches, meetings with authors and cartoonists, exhibitions, as well as a comic book fair. You will also be able to meet the editors of the Last Tawerna!
During the festival there will be:
April 20-21
– scientific conference “Violence in comics – Violence against comics”, Nova Reading Room of the University Library in Poznań.
April 22-23
– lectures (all of them will be held in the building of the University Library in Poznań), divided into thematic blocks – the “AKT” zone, superhero, manga , horror and post-apocalypse,
– meetings with the Israeli artist Keren Katz, Marcin Podolec, Krzysztof Owedyk, with the editors of the anthology “Rzeźzin”, Rafał Szłapa, Monika Laprus-Wierzejska, Piotr Marc and Bartosz Zaskórski, Dem, Marta Falkowska and Jerzy Łanuszewski,
– workshops on writing scripts with Bartłomiej Sztobryn, creating characters with Kamil Dukiewicz and Zvyrke, creating manga plots with Anna Maria Sutkowska and conducted by employees and students of the University of Arts in Poznań (
linocut and offset printing) – registration is required for the workshops,
– exhibitions: at the University Library in Poznań: Przemysław Truściński in the Main Hall, the “AKT” magazine in Art-Korytarz, Martyna Bolanowska in Salonik za Filarem (formerly E-centrum), Agnieszka “Akaa” Kamieńska in the Gallery; and in addition: an exhibition of works from the anthology “Own voice” in Barak Kultury at al. Marcinkowski, “My Phases” by Monika Laprus-Wierzejska in Galeria Centrala at Plac Ratajski, Piotr Marzec and Bartosz Zaskórski at the University of Arts (floor of the Faculty of Graphic Arts),
– comic book exchange in the building of the University Library in Poznań.
As every year, free notebooks imported from the USA and zines by Polish and European artists prepared especially for our event will be waiting for the participants of the festival. You will be able to get them by participating in individual points of the program.
Traditionally, participation in all events is free for each participant !!!
