Recently, YouTuber Ray Mona released a two-part document about the search for a lost pilot episode of the so-called Saban Moon , which is the Americanized version of Sailor Moon . The creator not only found the legendary recording, but also shared it on the Internet!
Do you still remember our recent news about Saban Moon ? We didn’t have to wait long for Ray Mona to add footage from this half animated, half acting pilot episode. Below you can watch the entire legendary lost video:
This drastically different version of Sailor Moon was produced by Haim Saban, of Mighty Morphin ‘Power Rangers , and was discovered at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. The adaptation used Western animation, but also combined it with acting sequences. The characters were very different from the original ones, incl. their nationalities were changed, and one of the sorceresses was in a wheelchair.
There are no plans to resume production of Saban Moon , or a second attempt at creating any adaptation. Therefore, those interested only have to enjoy this short pilot episode.
