Because of One Piece popularity Netflix is making live-action series of this medium. Peter Gadiot, Henry Jean and Len-Barry Simons have announced that they have joined the cast of the adaptation.
The production continues, and the next actors are still selected for the appropriate roles. It is a time full of the first leaks and pictures from the set, but also a period of confirming information and presenting the cast.
On March 28th, the official One Piece Twitter account introduced another Neflix live-action cast member, Peter Gadiot. He will play the role of the captain of the Redhead’s crew – Shanks. Gadiot has played in productions such as Yellowjackets as Adam, Queen of the South as James Vladez, Matador as Ceasar Agruello, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland as Cyrus.
Jean Henry, who will act as Fullbody, and Len-Barry Simons as Chew, also informed about their participation in One Piece on their instagram.
In addition to Gadiot, Henry and Simons, the cast includes Iñaki Godoy as the Straw Hat Crew Captain – Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Morgan Davis as Koby, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino as Alvida, Aidan Scott as Helmeppo, Jeff Ward as Buggy, McKinley Belcher III as Arlong and Vincent Regan as Monkey D. Garpa.
The first season of One Piece produced by Tomorrow Studio and streamed on Netflix will have 10 episodes, and the manga creator Eiichirō Oda will be responsible for the production as one of the executive producers. The season was based on the Saga of East Blue , with the first episode already named Romance Dawn . The premiere date of the series is not yet known.
