Every event must have an ending. Jason Aaron prepared them for the War of the Worlds, which he created, and by the way, he said goodbye to the adventures of Thor Odinson, which he created for 7 years.
Supplement
Marvel fans who have been following The Wars of the Worlds closely have finally seen their conclusion. It was featured in the comic Thor. The end of the war. By the way, it complements several threads presented throughout the story. First of all, we have the opportunity to get to know Odin’s older brother, Cul Borson, and his considerable contribution to the clash with Malekhit. In addition, Loki and Thor from the past get their separate stories. All three issues are woven into the events presented throughout the event. Despite the fact that they are quite interesting and interestingly presented, in fact they do not add much and if they were not published, the readers would not lose anything. The situation at the end of the comic is much better. There, finally, we get a story about what happened after defeating the forces of the dark elf. So we get a great feast in Asgard, a cruel and deliberate punishment for the villain himself, and then the establishment of a new Allfather,
Sequel or spin-off?
Jason Aaron bids farewell to Stormcloak in King Thor . We get an introduction to this title in the War’s End comic , but it’s not a typical continuation. Its main character is an older version of Thor, whom we were supposed to meet during the War of the Worlds. He returns to his time, where he first has to fight Loki, who wields necropower, and then fights again against the resurrected Gorr the Godslayer. The task is so difficult that the latter possessed unimaginable power and begins to destroy the entire universe. Fortunately, Odinson can count on the support of his three granddaughters. This is a one-volume that many people may have considered an add-on unrelated to the main universe before reading it – nothing could be more wrong! The author very cleverly refers to many previous events and at the same time closes the history of the Thors from all timelines. And he does it in epic style! Everything we could expect from an Asgardian god is here. Some secrets, twists, a great duel, unimaginable destruction and of course an extraordinary finale, where the more sensitive can shed a tear. Here’s an album we don’t deserve, but we’re lucky enough to read!
Colorful and dark
Drawings for the comic book Thor. End of War was created by Mike del Mundo and Scott Hepburn. Both gentlemen served a very interesting graphic design. Especially the first of the gentlemen, who had already dealt with the saga of the Asgardian god, went beyond the usual comic book frames, giving us phenomenal frames. Esad Ribić, the creator of graphics for King Thor , deserves even greater recognition . His dark vision of a destroyed universe is disturbing. He also very skillfully conveyed the vastness of the void and the power of Gorr. Most importantly, he made the clashes truly epic, which makes the comic read in one breath.
To help the reader
It is difficult to comment on the editions of both comics prepared by Egmont, and even praise for a few things. As I mentioned, the three adventures told in End of War seem a bit redundant, but this is Marvel’s idea, not a domestic publisher. So they had to appear on our market so that we could get a full picture of the War of the Worlds. In order not to accidentally get lost in the events, each story begins with an indication of what period we are in. On the frames you will also find information on which other notebook you should look at to supplement your knowledge of history. In addition, both discussed titles contain a short introduction and a list of the most important characters appearing in the comic. At the end of King Thoryou will also find Jason Aaron’s very sentimental farewell to the series, which is a very good conclusion to the whole.
It was supposed to be the other way around
Probably many readers expected that Thor. The end of the war will be the great culmination of the event and an extraordinary adventure, while King Thor will be a loose story that you can have on the shelf, but you don’t have to. Meanwhile, it turned out differently. It is the first title that is the average here, while the second – a great ending to the series about Thunderer. In both, however, you can appreciate a very interesting, eye-catching graphic design. Looking at the whole thing, one can feel a little unsatisfied, but in the end the recipient gets a worthy farewell to the Odinson saga.
