The theme of this year’s edition of the comic book is the fight against air pollution – smog is currently one of the main problems in many regions of Poland and the EU, where a large part of the houses are still heated with coal stoves. One of the key actions to prevent further air pollution is the European Green Deal – an international strategy proposed by the European Commission led by Ursula von del Leyen.
The partners of the Paneuropa versus Smog project are Łódź, Katowice and Wałbrzych – cities that use EU funds to implement programs to stop air pollution and fight smog. Each of them is dedicated to a different cover showing the landmarks characteristic of a given town. The cover for the Łódź version was prepared by Przemysław “Trust” Truściński, a native of Łódź, the rest was created by Przemysław Kłosin.
Below you will find a description of the comic with all versions of the covers. You can find the electronic version at this link .

The second volume of Paneuropa’s adventures is a fight with an insidious and elusive enemy. The greatest heroes of the continent: Athena, Sawa, Szczurołap, Romulus and Remus face mighty monsters ravaging the south of Poland. Meanwhile, the master of the secret arts – Twardowski – is looking for an ancient weapon that could tip the scales of victory towards the forces of good. Will the magician be able to reverse the course of events? Has humanity gone too far in its quest to self-destruct? If the wisdom of the alchemist Sedziwoj does not help, then the belligerence of the river guardian – Sawa – will have to suffice. The future of all mankind, not only Europeans, depends on the outcome of the struggle.
