The first season of Overlordconsists of thirteen episodes. The premiere took place in the summer of 2015 and included the first three volumes of the light novel. The anime adaptation was produced by Madhouse and directed by Naoyuki Itou. The anime premiered on July 7, 2015. The opening song was Clattanoia by OxT, and the ending song was LLL by Myth & Roid. The second season premiered on January 9, 2018 and focused on volumes 4, 5 and 6 of the novel. Like the previous series, it consists of 13 episodes. The opening song was Go Cry Go by OxT and the ending was Hydra by Myth & Roid. Season three premiered on July 10, 2018 and also had 13 episodes. The opening song was Voracity by Myth & Roid, and the final song was Silent Solitude by OxT.
