From Sargeras to Deathwing
World of Warcraft: Chronicle. Volume IIIbegins exactly where the second installment of the series ended, the moment the Alliance repulsed the Orc attacks and ended the Second War. Still, the Dark Portal remained the problem. The reader has the opportunity to find out what happened in the following years on Azeroth and beyond. We also visit the Outlands, where the Burning Legion is still struggling to muster enough strength to attack. We also have the opportunity to observe the fate of the famous Thrall and travel with him from a slave to the Warchief of the Horde. Arthas, the young prince and apprentice of Uther, must not be missing, as he enters the path of the paladin to later betray his mentor and people and become the Lich King. Those who know the history of this world know that these events are associated with the coming of the Scourge or the massacre of Stratholme. Illidan will appear and he will fight the demons. We’ll have the opportunity to learn more about how the Tauren joined the Horde, and about the arrival of the Draenei in Azeroth. We are also waiting for the Third War to finally find out what havoc the dragon Deathwing has wreaked. A lot is going to happen!
It’s still great!
The two previous volumes, published in our country by Insignis , have already accustomed us to the beautiful binding of the chronicles telling about the history of Azeroth. And this time is no different. We get our hands on an identical book format and a hardcover. This time, Night Elf Tyrande is looking at us from the cover. Inside, we will again find beautiful illustrations depicting the most important heroes and events from the universe created by Blizzard. The content, on the other hand, is extremely accessible and maybe just a bit too encyclopedic. Most of the time, however, we will have the impression that some chronicler actually sat down over the paper and wrote down the history of the Warcraft series for us.. Here, in turn, it should be appreciated that this author collected and arranged the entire history chronologically. And it is not only about events known from games. In addition to them, also those mentioned in books or comics were added. Thanks to this, the so-called the lore is complete and there are no story holes here.
Who, who?
The third volume of the Warcraft chronicle will surely appeal to everyone who is interested in this extraordinary universe. Of course, this product is aimed primarily at fans, i.e. both players and people who have read mainly books about Azeroth so far. However, if someone is tempted by a beautiful edition, they should not regret buying it either. It is also worth mentioning that although it is of course worth having all the parts in your collection, you can only buy the latest edition. It is as if instead of reading the history of the world from the dawn of time, you decided to read only about the Middle Ages. You won’t know everything, but you will know everything about a given period. This will probably please those who do not really want to know what it was like with the Titans, Naaru or the Ancient Gods, but only want to focus on the plot of their favorite partsWarcrafta.
At the end, there is even worse news. As many people may know, Deathwing’s actions and the cataclysm are not the end of Azeroth’s history. After all, Pandaren should still appear, the Legion would return, and Sylvanas to lead the Horde, to betray her later. These are, of course, just a few of the many stories known from this universe. Unfortunately, however, at the moment it is not known when and whether the fourth volume will be created at all. For now, Blizzard has a lot of other things on its mind and is silent on this matter. We can only hope to read a sequel. Because I am sure that if the next part were published, Insignis would certainly have published it for us in Polish.
