The One Piece Universe celebrates its 1,000th episode of anime with the announcement of the cinematic One Piece: Red movie . The production has just received the first trailer and poster.
Shueisha and Toei Animation announced the creation of a separate movie from the universe. The previous production of One Piece: Stampede from 2019 was a success and fans have long wondered when the new movie will be released. The trailer’s content and title suggest that the story will be about Redhead Shanks. The plot is still unknown to viewers.
The original anime creator Eiichiro Oda will oversee One Piece: Red. Goro Taniguchi will be the director and Tsutomu Kuroiwa will write the script.
The production will hit Japanese theaters on August 6, 2022.
