Surfer vs. Fuck
As soon as I saw the cover of the Silver Surfer, I was sure it would either be a positive surprise or a great disappointment. However, as is usually the case, it came out right in the middle. The herald of Galactus disappears in a black hole and ends up in a strange place. There, he comes across three guards whose master is a mysterious god. The superhero has to face them a demanding fight, but the worst is yet to come. This almighty creature turns out to be the dark and powerful Knull. This is roughly the first issue of the five included in this item. In addition to the action, the screenwriter also put a lot of emphasis on showing the psyche of the main character. Most of the frames contain the thoughts of a Surfer who reflects on her life. He reflects on who he was, what he has become, and the possibility of changing the course of history. In terms of personality, the antagonist fares much worse.
Crazy blaze of colors
Silver Surfer. BlackThis is one of the few comics that bought me the graphics right away. For the first time, the cover intrigued me so much that I wanted to know this title. The description on the publisher’s website coincided with my idea of what the illustrated volume could contain. Even more so, there was nothing left for me to do but succumb to the temptation and explore this title. And in terms of graphics, it is a real gem. I really like the grotesque character designs at times. For example, Tradd Moore beautifully depicted the Surfer’s body in a black hole – seeming to blur, lose its contours. Bright colors also create an amazing atmosphere! I just have to say a few words about the additives. At the end, there are galleries of beautiful covers with a wide variety of styles. A short afterword has also been added in which the author explains,
Is it worth changing the color to black?
Silver Surfer. Black is another representative of the typical semicolons. I expected a much bigger surprise, maybe not like the brilliant Batman Imposter , but I hoped it would be a story that I would remember for a longer time. On the other hand, the storyline has several strong points, and the Silver Surfer looks interesting, because we get to know the, admittedly very shortened, but still the whole story of his life, as well as his doubts and thoughts! If it were not for the brilliant graphics, I would probably be able to part with this item without regret, and I will gladly return to it again sometime. I will even say more, I will gladly reach for other comics describing the fate of the Space Trail Guardian.
