Kenny McCormick – the immortal hero of South Park Town, who is the only one who can openly curse on a vision, is celebrating his 10th birthday again today!
South Park Town is an American adult animated series created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone for Comedy Central. The series began in August 1997 and runs for the twenty-third season, with a total of 308 episodes at the end of the season. The main characters are four boys – Eric Cartman, Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski and Kenny McCormick – having strange adventures in the title town in Colorado. And it is today, on March 22, that the last of the mentioned characters is celebrating his birthday.
Kenny comes from a very poor, brutal and alcohol-addicted American family living on welfare. His friends, especially Eric Cartman, often tease him because of his poverty. Always dressed in a characteristic orange parka that covers almost the entire head, which makes his statements muffled and incomprehensible. This is why his offensive lines are not censored because they are difficult to understand anyway. What is actually hidden under the orange jumpsuit? Maybe Kenny enjoys pornography, especially women’s breasts. Maybe he has a perverse nature, and the most funny thing about him is toilet jokes. He may be a group clown who has only died 131 times to date (just because the series has 308 episodes and Kenny’s death is not halfway through), but he’s actually a good boy. Thanks to the literature he reads, he knows the meaning of many “adult” words, which means that he often saves the group from oppression and is the one his colleagues seek advice from. Stan, Cartman, and Kyle always laugh at his jokes and smart remarks. He is always willing to help, putting the good of others above his own. He even risks his life and goes to Hell to save the crew and the rest of the world.
About death. Why does Kenny possess the super power of immortality? The answer is quite shocking. His parents attended the meetings of the Cult of Cthulhu sect (not as followers, but lovers of free drinks), so each time he dies, he is reborn as a fetus in the womb, and the whole process takes literally a moment. Is immortality a gift or a curse? This is a torment for Kenny. He remembers everything that happened before his death, including dying itself (often in a painful way). On the other hand, the witnesses to this process seem to quickly and completely forget about this event – after Kenny is reborn, they act as if he never died.
It is worth adding that out of all the juvenile crew in South Park Town, Kenny killed the fewest people. Only two – myself (ten times) and Sarah Jessica Parker. The rest of the gang has a long list of victims – including Kenny! All the best to your next 10th birthday! To make this year less fatal!
